How do I start an FBLA chapter?
The first step to starting a chapter is to request a Chapter Organizational Packet (COP) by visiting FBLA's national website at www.fbla-pbl.org. If you're in the Gold Coast Section (Los Angeles, Santa Barbara, and Ventura Counties), feel free to email goldcoastdirector@cafbla.org (Matt Gray) who will be happy to answer any of your questions.  We'll even connect you with chapters in your area who can help you get started.  Here's a page on this site with more information:  Start a Chapter.

Where do I find information about State Projects?

How do I become a Gold Coast Section Officer?
The 2009-2010 Section Officers will be elected at the Gold Coast Section Leadership Conference in March.  The positions available are President, Vice President-Membership, Vice President-Service, Secretary-Treasurer, Public Relations, and Leadership Associate.  The Section President also serves as the California State Vice President representing the Gold Coast Section.  Positions are open to any returning high school FBLA member (freshmen, sophomore, junior) with the exception of the Leadership Associate position (freshmen and sophomore candidates only).  Applications are due January 23, 2009.

When is / What is LDI-South?
LDI-South is the Leadership Development Institute (LDI) hosted by the Gold Coast, Southern, and Inland Sections of California FBLA.  This is a two-day conference full of workshops and activities.  The 2008-2009 LDI-South will be at the Hyatt in Irvine on October 25-26, 2008. Information is currently available on the state website (www.cafbla.org).

When is the Gold Coast Section Conference?
The next Gold Coast Section Leadership Conference will be at West Ranch High School and Six Flags Magic Mountain.  More information will be posted in the next couple weeks. 

What is / When is OAT Day?
OAT Day stands for Officers' and Advisers' Training Day.  It's the first official Gold Coast Section event for the school year.  The 2008 OAT Day was held on Saturday, September 27 and d at Exposition Park near the California Science Center in Los Angeles.  Thank you to all the chapters that attended!
