FBLA All Stars is open to members of all ages and gender! But please note that only one entry per chapter may be submitted and only the first five submitted and approved applications will have a spot in the contest. Please submit the application and a 1.5" x 1" head shot photo to Angela Chang via e-mail: goldcoastvpmembership@cafbla.org no later than by Friday, February 12, 2010.

Gold Coast Members

The Gold Coast Officer Team is searching for a creative design to put onto this year's program cover! Please have your images in PIF, or PNG form with at least 800X800 pixels. The image needs to have the FBLA logo and this year's theme ("Fuel Your Future") incorporated into it in some way shape or form. The image will be printed in black and white so keep that in mind. Credit will be given where credit is due.


Please email your designs to goldcoastpresident@cafbla.org no later than February 5.

Go Green Updates!

Attention chapters! As you are all aware, there is now a Go Green project at the Section level, which means that for the first time, chapters will be able to earn ribbons at section! Not only is the project designed to help you complete a state project, but it also provides our members the opportunity to be more eco-friendly. If your chapter missed the December deadline, we are offering an option for the month of January: chapters can execute TWO go green activities, complete the necessary requirements, and send it in to receive credit for December and January. Keep in mind that this option only applies to the month of January, as winter break cut December short.
 
Please send the activity checklist along with a project summary with pictures in the order listed in the checklist to the Gold Coast VP of Service. One must be submitted for each month, postmarked by:
 
January Activity: January 31, 2009 (if your chapter is making up for December, please send in two checklists and summaries).
 
February Activity: February 17, 2009

Rose Float Decorating!

The Rose Parade is coming up, which means Rose Float decorating time! If your chapter wants to be part of an awesome networking and volunteering opportunity, then you are highly encouraged to come to this event. Gold Coast needs at least 15 people for both shifts every day, so the more people you can send the better. Refer to the time table below to see what day your chapter is most available. Please note that in order to decorate on December 29 and 30, you will need to have decorated on prior shifts.
 
Chapters who are interested in participating MUST contact Leslie Chang, your Gold Coast VP of Service for additional information at goldcoastvpservice@cafbla.org. The deadline to sign-up is Monday, December 21 at 11:59pm. Please include the number of members attending and on which day and corresponding shift in the email. We hope to see you all there!

December 26: 15 workers 8:00am to 2:00pm
                     15 workers 2:00pm to 9:00pm
 
December 27: 15 workers 8:00am to 2:00pm

Calling all Gold Coast FBLA Members!

This year, Gold Coast is going to mix it up and give you section members a never before seen opportunity! You can now earn ribbons at Section. "Say what" you say? Thats right, this year at Gold Coast Section Conference, we are offering an opportunity for YOU to earn a ribbon (The kind you earn at STATE!). This ribbon is earned through a "go green" type of do-good activity!

FBLA-PBL SPORTS MARKETING CONFERENCE

Join FBLA and PBL at our annual Sports Marketing Conference!  This year, we've partnered with the L.A. Kings to host an exclusive event for FBLA-PBL at the STAPLES Center on Saturday, January 9!  Start the afternoon with a VIP behind-the-scenes tour of the STAPLES Center, followed by a session with guest speakers from the LA Kings, STAPLES Center, AEG, and LA Live.  Then, wrap up the day with tickets to watch the L.A. Kings vs the St. Louis Blues!

Tickets are available starting at $25, with $5 donated back to your chapter for each ticket purchase!  Please note that this is an all-inclusive package which includes both conference and game--tickets for the conference-only aspects of the event are not available at discounted rates. Below is a flyer for more details.
