Also, your chapter can be a part of the Gold Coast blog too! Send a picture and an article about one of your local chapter activities to (updated) news@goldcoastfbla.org and you will find your chapter in the Local Chapter Spotlight here at the blog.
We created two new pages on the site, check them out!
- 2007-2008 State Project Results: Gold Coast had an amazing year and our involvement in every State Project highlights the great things each chapter accomplished. Visit this page to see where Gold Coast stands in comparison to the other California sections and to find out which chapters helped make this success possible.
- 2008-2009 B.I.G. Goals: We drafted our 2008-2009 goals for membership and state project involvement at the State Summit this week. Check out this page to review our section goals and to find out how your chapter can earn recognition for completing state projects.
State projects are a great way to get honored for the programs your chapter already completes. There are a number of quick ways to complete these projects and both your section officers and fellow Gold Coast chapters are excited to help. Feel free to ask us questions about this or any FBLA topic by leaving comments on the Gold Coast Blog.

This
afternoon I had the great opportunity to meet with some students and
faculty who are interested in starting a chapter at Calabasas High
School. As we could only look forward to next year, it brings up the
point that right now is the perfect time to start planning your events
and projects for 2008-2009.
Many
chapters will be electing their upcoming officer teams over the next
couple weeks. As that happens, keep in mind that this is also an
important time to reach out to young and potential chapters in your
area. Let us know if you know of any schools that might be interested
in starting up a chapter or that need some additional help.
Here are a couple key dates for Fall 2008-2009
-
*Officers' and Advisers' Training (OAT) Day on Saturday September 27 at the California Science Center in Exposition Park (Los Angeles).
-
*Leadership Developing Institute (LDI-South) the two-day conference on October 25-26 at the Irvine Hyatt.
